JX2 is the sonic fusion created in 2020 by Javier Fernández and José Ángel Palacios from León. This collaboration was born amid the Coronavirus pandemic, a challenging period that served as a catalyst for the creation of an avant-garde musical proposal.
Inspired by masters of experimental electronics such as Autechre, Squarepusher, Plaid, and Aphex Twin, JX2 delved into the exploration of futuristic soundscapes and bold rhythms from the moment of its inception. The amalgamation of styles and the technical prowess of both artists translated into a musical proposition that defies conventions and pushes the boundaries of sonic experimentation.
During the early years of their formation, Javier Fernández and José Ángel Palacios developed their music collaboratively, leveraging virtual means to connect through technology and merge their distinct artistic perspectives.
The relationship between master and apprentice, marked by mutual teaching and constant exchange of ideas, became the very essence of their musical project.
In 2024, four years after their formation, JX2 took a significant step by performing on the stage of the TESLA festival in León. JX2 continues to explore new sonic frontiers, challenging expectations and redefining the limits of electronic music.
With their collaborative approach, eclectic influences, and unique sound narrative, this electronic duo promises to continue captivating audiences and leaving an indelible mark on the contemporary music scene.
